GET TO KNOW ME
My name is Mindy Anderson, and I formed Aunty Min’s in 2002 while I was working at an local animal hospital and noticed the need for additional pet-care options while people were working long hours or going on holiday.
Over the years, the greater Bainbridge Island community has come to trust Aunty Min’s to care for their pets as well as I care for my own. Each animal is more than just a customer—they are an extension of my family. My commitment to my work includes memberships to the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS), and Pet Professional Guild (PPG) and becoming a Certified Professional Pet Sitter through Pet Sitters International (PSl). I am also enrolled in the cat training program with Karen Pryor Academy and learning how to help cats with behavior issues through play and training. I have also enjoyed being a member of the the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) where I continue to study canine behavior and training. I am CPR & First Aid certified through Arden Moore’s Pet First Aid 4U course. I apply my ongoing education in training and behavior to my own pets and those I work with, and share my knowledge with my clients.
I am very active with our local rescue organizations and have volunteered for the Kitsap Humane Society, West Sound Wildlife Shelter, and PAWS of Bainbridge Island & North Kitsap for years. Most recently, I served on the Board of Directors for PAWS and continue to be involved in the fundraising and event committees.
In 2020, I became a Certified Happiness Coach and believe in bringing back "PLAY" and positivity to people's lives with my "Wags & Wellness" program.
AUNTY MIN’S “PACK”
I have developed many relationships over the years with other pet sitters and work with a wonderful “Pack” of colleagues who also provide excellent pet care. We are able to back each other up and provide dependable, trusted service, even during the busiest times of the year.
